What a Bon Voyage!

Monday January 26th,

I just woke up with the same smile I had on my face all day yesterday. I don't know if it has anything to do with the over the top hot pink dress I paraded around in, the massive consumption of amazing desserts and mimosa's and I'm still on a sugar high, or the fact that I had the best party ever!

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family and diverse group of friends that all have given me so much courage to start my journey to Australia. Whether it was help packing and getting supplies, sharing pictures to get me excited, buying me first-aid kits, journals, and personal alarms to keep me safe, thoughtful cards with uplifting messages, or just coming to the going away bash ready to see me off right, I appreciate all the support! After yesterday I know that this is going to be the time of my life but coming home will have the same fulfillment! I could never leave for too long! I would miss everyone way too much!

In three days I will be in the air on my way to San Diego! I have one stop in Denver and then I will be arriving around 2 pm. I can't wait to meet my new roomie, Ross, for the next 4 days! I had a great person connect me with her good friend who generously opened up his place to me on my travels. Thanks Corinne and Ross! From SD I am going to Hollywood, LA. I will have 2 nights there. Anyone know some friends for me to hang out with?? I will be sure to check out the infamous Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Squares, and celeb stalk a bit. On Thursday, February 4th I am off to Sydney, Australia! Through this trip I hope that I make lasting friendships, laugh so hard I cry, learn a lot about new cultures and myself, and truly find how little we really need in life to be happy. This is the real version of the simple life- look out Paris and Nicole!

Off to reevaluate my packing for the final time, update my resume, and hit up the gym!
